Sunday afternoon we celebrated Brennen turning 2!! In the midst of a windstorm we all headed out to the park for a party! The leaves are changing and the trees are beautiful but unfortunately mother nature was so set on making sure we new it that she pelted us with those beautiful fallen leaves and tree helicoptors ALL AFTERNOON at 30 mph!! Despite our decorations blowing away and the kids snacks flying out of thier hands Bren still managed to have a great time!! Most of the adults would have loved to swap me a good one for dragging them out but the kids all left happy (and I am sure the helicoptor welts will fade). I attempeted to have a carnival theme for his party and we fulfilled that hope to the best of our wind fighting ability. We had games and prizes, Jaron made awsome popcorn in her old-fashioned popcorn maker and of course there was yummy cake and thoughtful gifts. Here are some of our highlights.....

Bren and Anthony playing with his new train set at home after the party. Both Anthony and dad were on the same wave because they both picked out a wooden train for him. And they were right on... he loves it!! (bonus both sets are interchangable)

Happy birthday buddy! It looked like you had a great 2nd birthday. Sorry we couldn't celebrate it with you. Look for your birthday present in the mail sometime next week. We love you!
