Lucas

Lucas had an unexpected surgery last night. He went to his family Dr. yesterday because of a cold and as the Dr. was checking him out he became concerned as he pressed on Lucas' side. Good reason for concern considering he yelped in pain! Lucas had been having pain in his side that began the other night after baseball practice that he and Kimberly attributed to a pulled muscle. Well as the Dr. pressed on it he thought it was something more. So off they went to the ER. After many tests and several hours I got the call that they were taking him in immediately for an appendectomy.
The procedure went well and he is already back home but what a scary experience for him (and his mom). Who would have ever thought that a simple cold could be something to be thankful for. God had His hand in this one!
