Circus

We finally decided it was time to take Brennen to the circus. We got tickets as soon as they went on sale to ensure our getting excellent seats and counted down the days until the big event. We were all excited making a big deal out of it everyday. Brennen's teachers talked about it at school, the advertisements were all over the radio and TV, yep this was going to be one exciting day! Dad and Shelley even got tickets for Abigail and Eli in the section right above us.....can you feel the anticipation?? Then after 3 weeks of waiting the day finally came! We went an hour early so that we could hit the "fair" beforehand. Brennen got to ride a powerwheels tractor and once Eli got there (Abigail ended up sick) Brennen decided he needed another go-around so that Eli could ride with him. OH THEY HAD A BLAST. Then after the "fair" we headed to our seats. On the way through Brennen got to pick out a toy. He picked out the coolest light-up, spinny, music toy EVER!! THE EXCITEMENT WAS JUST TOO MUCH!! And then the circus began......the excitment fizzled.....and we were all bored. Yep, I said it, the circus was boring. We were all ready to leave halfway through. If it weren't for the cool spinny toy and popcorn we bought Brennen would have taken the keys and driven himself home. As a matter of fact Dad DID leave before it was over. Eli decided that sleeping was better than watching so Dad made the choice not to continue torturing himself with the ever-lasting acts of this "three ring circus" that barely used more than one ring. Not us, Anthony, Brennen and I stayed until the end. We watched every last moment of that circus that we has spent 3 weeks in anticipation of and $85 on. Yep $85 to be disappointed, bored and all around let-down by this same circus that we (adults) used to love. The highlight of the circus experience.The awesome toy that we spent a fortune on that BROKE ON OUR WAY HOME devistating Brennen. GRRRRRThe longest act of any circus....ever! 20 min of these horses walking around the circle and lining up. UHGThis was an excellent act!!! It only lasted 5 min. GRRRRRThis was the closing "act" YEAH!! We get to go home now!!!! We decided that we will give the circus another chance......in several years! We never thought we would look back and think that The Wiggles were entertaining. However, during this event, I longed for the musical stylings of The Wiggles.....HA
